The Swopper Stool & Why Swopper is so Popular, Join the Swopping Revolution , Go Ergonomic

August 25, 2007 · No Comments

The Swopper stool, made by Via is currently in a class all of it’s own. With it’s truly unique ergonomic design concepts and style of sitting, the VIA has won over it’s many critics once they have spent time testing the design. When first viewed by someone unaware of it’s ergonomic presence, it may seem just a high-end and stylish stool with great presence. It is very modern with the coordinating coils giving just a hint as to the true inner workings of the Swopper motion seating experience.

Once seated in the Swopper stool, your spine can definitely feel the relaxed and yet stretched perfectly position of the spine and lower lumbar region. The lower lumbar can feel truly relaxed and although the seated position of the Swopper may look hard to keep, once seated, the user realizes how easy it is to stay in the position without effort. The design of the Swopper keeps your feet flat on the floor and your back in the correct position, even without any backrest at all.

The standard Swopper featured in the VIA Quick Ship Program has an ultrasuede fabric which is helpful for its gripping qualities to hold the user in place. The Swopper is also available in a large variety of custom ordered fabrics including leather and many different patterns available. The VIA custom ordered Swopper Stool has a choice of two different base choices, titanium or anthracite (charcoal gray). Either base is available through the custom ordered Swopper program although the quick ship program is only sold with the anthracite base. A wooden backrest is even available as an option for custom ordered Swopper’s.

With strong support from it’s purchaser’s and ranking high in customer satisfaction while winning many prestigious office furniture design awards, the Swopper Chair is here to stay. This author would rank it as one of my most unique seating experiences with real comfort ability for long periods. Using one for a week to “test drive” it, I could feel some pressure released from my spine and got a ton of compliments and questions from everyone who saw it. It truly wins many hearts with it’s beautiful, unique and ergonomic styled design and health benefits.

Ebay Stores & Office Furniture at Competitive Prices with a Huge Variety of Choices

August 24, 2007 · 1 Comment

For a long time, eBay has been the leader in the online race for the lowest prices and largest selection of retail items sold daily. When searching for almost any product online, you are sure to run into an eBay listing from a search engine and office chairs and furniture are no exception. With items available for only a fraction of the original retail price, it is easy to find office furniture for less than the average retail office store.

When entering office furniture into the eBay stores search engine, I was able to pull up 216 different eBay Stores featuring office chairs. There was 1304 different office chair listings in the office furniture category and some stores had hundreds of chairs and products. When viewing these listings, you would find that approximately 80 percent of this furniture is brand new with prices well below retail. A few of these eBay stores also specialize in used and reconditioned furniture clearance for the real bargain shopping experience.

When shopping eBay Stores, make sure that you thoroughly read each listing and check the feedback ratings and store policies of the seller before purchasing. Most eBay Store sellers with a large number of listings are Powersellers with positive feedback and a high number on their feedback score. You can be confident in knowing that you are buying from a reputable store.

Ebay Stores can save a business or the average home office worker a lot of time and money when shopping and purchasing office chairs and furniture. Every consumer would like to receive the best price on the product they are searching for, knowing that they have different options allows for more intelligent buying. Before purchasing any office chairs or furniture for your business, make sure that you have checked eBay Stores to make sure you get the lowest price possible.

Italian Leather, Not Just for High Class Hookers, but Bankers Too

August 18, 2007 · No Comments

Some people cannot even imagine buying a car that is not completely upholstered in top grain leather, while others would not be caught dead out on a Friday night without their Prada boots in top grain leather. The same can be said for the standard office chair. Most office chairs that are advertised as for the “executive” are upholstered in leather and leather is always an option for a custom ordered chair. The high end and high class corporate executive or banker needs to make sure to display the proper image to their clients and in the corporate world, leather seems to be a status symbol as much as a corner office or that all important parking space.

When purchasing leather, you can find a large price difference in the different grades of leather. Leather can take on different grades when going through the dying process or simply from where it originated. Some leather is simply surface dyed and when scratched it can appear white underneath giving away it’s true worth. Other dying processes take longer but produce results that completely change the leather layers and soak all the way through for better color retention and wear results.

The standard bankers chair features leather upholstery which is often styled in a traditional sense with brass nailheads and button tufting, wood arms and swivel mechanisms is popular. This style chair can be expensive due to the amount of work involved in getting the button tufts to work with the leather and usually features leather upholstered arms for a more expensive look. This style chair sometimes also features a highback pillow top or extra high frame for an executive appearance. When adding all of these features in, the yards of leather needed can add up as well as the price.

Make sure when purchasing the leather office chair for your home or work environment, that you pay for the grade of leather accordingly. The type of leather, whether cowhide, patchwork, italian or simply top grain needs to be right for your needs. When adding the leather option to the standard fabric office chair, most chairs would increase in price a small smount but it can be an option that is well worth it to make sure that you truly love the chair that you are sitting in.

Office Chairs on eBay and the Huge Selection Available For Sale

August 10, 2007 · No Comments

Ebay can offer great options when purchasing a new office chair for your business or home office. With a huge selection and new models constantly being added, you should be able to find the right office chair for you with relative ease. Auction style listings with a 1-10 day fixed time limit, which go to the highest bidder are how eBay started out drawing a crowd. Now they have many different ways to purchase.

Buying office chairs through Fixed Price Buy It Now listings and through eBay stores seems to be the quickest and offers the best pricing available on eBay. Although, auction style listings can sometimes end for pennies on the dollar, they are more time consuming and can end in prices way over the normal retail price.

In order to see the items that are listed under the Auction Style price Category, simply enter the keyword term into the search box on the eBay homepage and see what listings appear. The listings directly below the box are the auction style listings all with a fixed time frame of start and end that appears with each listing and current bidding price as well as a photo, if available, and a shipping cost.

With eBay Stores, you get the same display, but with auctions at a set price and easy to compare statistics, most with buy now options. You know how to compare pricing because you know what price the auction will end at. This makes price comparison and even “window shopping” of a sort, possible and quick.

With easy to view photos and up to 25 listings per page, it is better to narrow down your search to a more specific type of chair in order to find the right model quicker. This small search step can save you time and help you to find exactly what you were looking for. Many keywords such as ergonomic, leather, executive or mesh are commonly used to help in the search.

Office chairs offer a huge range of pricing and options available but so does eBay, making it easy to find a great chair for a terrific price. Once you know what you are looking for in both a chair and a listing on eBay, you are halfway done and the rest of the battle is simply picking the right chair for you and getting comfortable once it arrives.

Sourcing Office Furniture In China Can Save U.S. Distributors Tons of Money

August 9, 2007 · No Comments

Sourcing new office products in China may not be as easy as getting your main supply from just around the corner. However, it seems that for companies looking to have the lead on the competition in this day and age, they would need to plan on a strategy involving sourcing some product in China. Cost pressure is a reason that many American distributors are turning to the international suppliers who offer the lowest cost in labor, a major cost in any manufacturing or distribution project.

China’s demand for manufacturing facilities for office equipment, chairs, and furniture has grown significantly in the past few years. Many major furniture producers are located in China and the number is growing due to demand from American consumers. The world economy is seemingly recovering which means more opportunities for U.S. companies to export their products, but still China remains strong in the industry and hard to beat.

The U.S. however, does seem to have a terrific niche market in the ergonomic style and high-end design category. With the Herman Miller Aeron and Humanscale Freedom Chair being at the top of their class and uncomparable, the expensive ergonomic models are still mass produced in the United States.

With effective use of transportation and with knowledge of the importing and exporting industry, a company can take advantage of the low prices offered for basically the same office chairs, desks and furniture offered from the U.S. manufacturers.
With higher profit margins and product moving faster due to the outrageously low prices, American office furniture dealers who are taking advantage of these overseas pricing advantages are steps beyond the rest.

eBay Search Results, How to Buy Online for Your Office

August 7, 2007 · No Comments

Simply enter the keyword terms of your desired item in the search box of eBay’s Home Page and listings appear. eBay is an amazing marketplace featuring millions of items at any one time. It is best to narrow down your search to more specific terms to find what you are looking for in certain categories.

For example, when searching for an office chair, one can find thousands of different models for sale. It would be much quicker to search for leather office chair, mesh back chair, or perhaps executive traditional seating in order to really narrow down the search category. This eliminates wasted time looking at product that is not anything similar to what you are looking for.

You can also click on an icon called “advanced search” next to the search box to narrow down your eBay listing results even further. Most shoppers have a good idea about the specifics of what they want, the more keywords, the better. The advanced search allows the user to search within specific eBay categories, narrow down to just the buy it now listings and search by eBay store, seller, cost or product type to help find the product you are looking for quicker.

Some electronics are featured in mass quantities and searching for a simple DVD player can seem daunting. When searching for these types of items, using model numbers with narrowing down the search with keywords is necessary in order to shop wisely. Like any of the major search engines, such as Google or Yahoo, eBay works off of terms entered into it’s database and because of the mass quantities of products offered, narrowing down your results is critical to time management.

You can also narrow down your search and find many lower priced deals with buy it now, ship now options in the eBay Stores category. This is an option found in the upper left hand navigation bar on the eBay Home Page. You can click on this eBay Stores icon and search within eBay stores for specialized stores featuring the item you are looking for. This can offer easier price comparison because the prices are usually on a fixed rate for easy side by side shopping.

Whether using the advanced search, simple search box or eBay Stores, you are sure to find what you are looking for on eBay. With millions of listings, tons of purchase options and secure, simple payment methods, eBay is an amazing shopping marketplace and can save you time and money.

Import or US Made Office Chairs, Is there a Difference?

August 7, 2007 · 1 Comment

When buying an office chair, few consumers consider where the product originated. Import office chair distribution is on the rise as China has become a major player in the chair manufacturing market. With volume shipments delivered to the U.S. and many contracts with large U.S. retail chain stores such as Target and Wal-mart, the imported chairs being delivered are on the rise. With Wal-mart being one of the leaders in the importing of products from China, they can offer prices hard to beat on most products.

These importers are all getting the product overseas due to the obvious price advantages and the high quality and quickly produced office chairs being offered, some even with manufacturer’s warranties. Online sites are also carrying imported office chairs and are offering the lowest prices on these office chairs to be found. Ebay and Overstock.com seem to have the niche in the market when it comes to online sales of import office chairs. Some sites like Bizchair.com and others also offering a wide selection of imported in stock models.

When purchasing the average imported office chair, most customers find that the quality, packaging from the originating factory and the inspection requirements are top rate. Not all models are the same, so the consumer also needs to do their homework. In most situations, the reputation of the seller of the chair should testify as to the quality of the chair.

When purchasing an import office chair, it is recommended to inquire as to the feedback and reputation of the seller as well as any testimonials from past customers on the product. This can be hard to do with the average retail chain, but most online sites will offer options when it comes to customer satisfaction reviews.

The imported office chairs offer the same line of features as American models with things like tilt mechanisms, height adjustments and lumbar support being the most popular. Chairs can also come with a warranty and some distributors offer their own warranties on the chairs they offer.

When it comes to price, most often, you will find many advantages and lower priced chairs on the import office line side. With chairs that appear quality wise to be exactly the same when it comes to features and options and with a lower price than most U.S. models, the import office chair industry is booming.

Office Furniture Imported From China is Growing in Volume

August 5, 2007 · No Comments

The number of office furniture manufacturing facilities is increasing in China to meet with the demand and need in the US. Offering an amazing price discount for basically the same products as their US competitors, they are gaining new business from office furniture dealers, both online and in retail establishments. When it comes to buying office chairs in bulk for an office environment, price can make all the difference in the decision making process.

The Chinese market for office manufacturing, as compared to other countries which also provide volume shipments, has a market which seems to be growing at a rapid rate. With many different choices listed on a site like Alibaba, a directory of international manufacturers and shipment companies, China comes up with the most listings.

New office spaces can require a large amount of working capital for buying furniture and buying in bulk can be necessary. It is also important to save time and make sure to get the right products necessary at the lowest cost. Imported chairs in bulk, such as task chairs for standard employee use and high-end executive models are all available from Chinese manufacturers at an amazing price point.

When ordering an entire room full of conference chairs or that very important wood conference table, imported models can offer a price that allows the executive to purchase the supplies and still stay on budget.

U.S. manufacturer’s are not out of the game yet. The US competitors still remain strong when it comes to producing a high-end ergonomic custom chair, with Humanscale and Herman Miller leading the pack. The United States has several different manufacturers of custom ordered furniture but China still holds strong for the standard office chair with mass production available to importers. For a standard office chair or furniture piece, Chinese imported models still provide the user with high quality and the lowest price.

Some large U.S. office furniture distributors such as Office Star, also obtain some of their inventory from overseas manufacturer’s in China and have been importing chairs and furniture for some time from overseas. With more large distributors tapping into the overseas market, the doors will open wider for the smaller businesses, leading to more overseas product available in the US. As more and more dealers are purchasing from China, it is hoped that the price will still stay as low as it can to both the customers and the importers.
